How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

I have been looking forward to completing my collection of my Planet of the Apes. The cover was in near mint condition and the pages were perfect. This is a great book for any fan of the Planet of the Apes.

With the exception of the original novel, "Planet of the Apes" by Pierre Boule, this is, by-far, the best of the movie adaptation novels (including the 2001 movie).

This is Dr. Zira, her loving husband, Cornelius, and this their little baby, Milo. The most dangerous threat to the human race...is little baby Milo. Why? How did they get here? How were they received by human society? The year is 1973-and the two Chimpanzees, along with Dr. Milo, a third Chimp companion, traveled back through a time warp from Earth's dominated future where apes ruled, and humans were the lowest order of species. to the modern era 2000 years before its destruction. That's the focus of Jerry Pournelle's brilliantly-written tie-in novelization of 'Escape from The Planet of The Apes'. This story, which is the third entry of the 'Apes' feature film series, is a major shift in the series. Now, the apes are the heroes, and the humans are the antagonists. Zira and Cornelius have become the strangers in a strange land now, which was an inverse of Colonel Taylor's situation in the first 'Apes' film. The novel is definitely an excellent adaptation of the film!

After "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" ended with the destruction of Earth, "Escape From the Planet of the Apes" took the only option open to it: time travel. The story finds Cornelius and Zira traveling back to 1973 on Taylor's spacecraft and navigating then-modern-day-America. The goofiness of the previous entry is gone as the characters, both Ape and Human, must navigate the philosophical ramifications of a paradox, where Cornelius and Zira could cause the very future they left. This feels like classic science fiction at its best, with all characters trying to do what they think is right, either for themselves or for the world, all while wrestling with larger philosophical issues. Jerry Pournelle's writing is up to the task and serves as a worthy successor to Pierre Boulle's work on the book that originated the franchise.

Author Jerry Pournelle does an excellent job in adapting Paul Dehn’s script for “Escape from the Planet of the Apes” into an exciting and enthralling novel.
