This is a synthetic collection consisting of manuscripts and typescripts, correspondence, a portrait photograph, and undated miscellaneous printed matter. . There are typescripts by the author of essays, articles, and poems. Also included are essays, poems, and reviews relating to the author, in manuscript and typescript, by W. H. Auden, Elizabeth Bishop, E. E. Cummings, T. S. Eliot, Randall Jarrell, Dachine Rainer, Glenway Westcott, Louis Zukofsky, and others. The collection includes correspondence by the author, dating from 1910 to 1955, to Beatrice Abbott, Frederic D. Grab, Lady Gregory, D. H. Lawrence, Helene Margaret, Sir Edward Howard Marsh, Dachine Rainer, James Sibley Watson, W. B. Yeats, and others; as well as letters relating to the author, from [1898] to 1986, between various individuals including W. H. Auden, T. S. Eliot, Allen Ginsberg, James Joyce, Alfred Kazin, James Laughlin, Dachine Rainer, W. B. Yeats, and others.
