archives.nypl.org -- John Mundy papers (original) (raw)
Scope and arrangement
The John Mundy Papers include some contracts and other documentation of Mundy’s early life and career as a cellist, but they are primarily concerned with his career as a composer in the United States. There are annotated copies of the script for The Burglar’s Opera, along with correspondence charting its progress. The scores include songs from the show, as well as other compositions by Mundy. There is almost no material from his career at The Metropolitan Opera, nor any personal papers.
