Scope and arrangement

The Irving-Terry tour correspondence consists of letters, schedules, telegrams and clippings related to events and arrangements for their American tours. A large portion of the materials are legal papers concerning the controversy with Abbey, Schoeffel & Grau. In 1896, Abbey, Schoeffel & Grau, proprietors and managers of Abbey's Theatre in New York City, found themselves unable to honor their committments. The company was reorganized with the approval of its creditors, one of whom was the Lyceum Theatre Company. Most of the correspondence is addressed to Bram Stoker.
