We’ve helped so many people learn to have fun with music again – in a safe and supportive environment.

At our musical improv jams, everyone is invited on stage as we play games. As a group, we learn about how songs are made. By the end of the night, we’re all singing your song moments after you’ve created it.

As Baltimore Musical Improv, we want you to be part of our fun community where we make up songs and stories together in improvised musicals. We’re a nonprofit project – fiscally hosted by the 501(c)(3) Fractured Atlas – dedicated to spreading the joy of musical improvisation in Baltimore.

You can join us as a co-organizer, and you can help decide how we create musical improv together. You can choose how you want to be involved, and we welcome your ideas! Learn important skills like community organizing, marketing, and communication. You can help plan events and host workshops. We will support you and help you feel confident in your role, so you can shine and have fun!

Making up songs in the moment forms the core of musical improv. Our free instant songwriting workshops focus on song structure, lyric creation, emotional content, choreography, and rhyming.
