North Memorial Parkway overpasses will be open on Tuesday (original) (raw)
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Motorists will be driving on the new overpasses crossing Max Luther and Sparkman drives in north Huntsville Tuesday, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The department late Friday announced a ribbon-cutting Monday for the $17.3 million project. The short ceremony will be at 2 p.m. at the northern end of the project near the Gander Mountain Outdoor Store.
The $17.3 million project took 31 months to complete and was done about five months ahead of schedule, the state said. The project contractors are Reed Contracting Services, Inc. and Miller & Miller, Inc., both of Huntsville.
