ARRRR! Pirate Ship sells for $80,000 on CL

Now the buccaneering boat has been sold to the History Channel for $80,000, after being advertised on classifieds website Craigslist.
“It’s probably the most photographed ship on the Mississippi River,” Woodson, from St Louis in Missouri, told CNN.
“We get a lot of kids running along the shore, trying to catch the cannonballs as we go by,” he said, referring to the 4-inch sponge balls shot from the ship.

Enterprising CL user Steven Ortiz has reportedly traded his way up from an old cell phone to a porsche in Glendora, CA.
Not bad, although fellow barterer Kyle MacDonald traded up from a red paper clip to a house in Saskatchewan in 2008.
Hmmm, wonder what I could get for 10 tea bags of rich, robust Guayaki fair trade Yerba Maté?

Obama Seeks Commerce Secretary, Skiis

Breaking news on Huffington Post:
“The position of Commerce Secretary is too important to remain unfilled another day,” Mr. Obama said. “That’s why it is absolutely essential that this Craigslist thing work.”
President Obama reportedly scanned the “sporting goods” category for bargains while he was at it.
