The Simon Bolivar metropolitan park is one of the oldest and significant parks in bogota; This has hosted important outdoor events Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park is one of the oldest and most significant parks in Bogota, this has been home to major outdoor events such as concerts and openings and closings of major festivals in the city, such as Ibero-American Theater Festival, Summer Festival, Rock to the Park, Opera to Park, Salsa to the Park, Hip-hop to the park, and it`s also known historically for having received the last 2 popes ( Pablo VI and Juan Pablo II) has come to that park to make congregations.
