Carbon MacPython applets (generated by dropping a script on Make Applet) displays output to stdout and stderr in a dedicated window, which is very convenient and obvious for users. Framework MacPython (through 2.3) sends output to stdout and stderr to the system console window, which is much less convenient. So...my request is for applets to have a dedicated console window, as they used to have. In my opinion this would make applets far more convenient and usable. I hope it's not too dreadfully much work.

Is this one still relevant?

Closing as won't fix. The "Make Applet" tool is still present, but rather useless. Use py2app to create application bundles.
