Prologue to the Series (original) (raw)

My life has always been complicated… with meteor freaks attacking me practically every week to going to high school, researching for the Torch and my internship at the Daily Planet, a near nonexistent love life, finding out my best friend is an alien, getting fired from the Daily Planet thanks to Lex Luthor, working at the Talon, along with emotional and drama wars of Lana Lang and Clark Kent since freshmen year, learning that I was meteor-infected, et cetera.

You’d think by now my life would be relatively simple, wouldn’t you?

Is it? Not even a little bit.

Just over two weeks ago my cousin DIED… She bled to death thanks to some lackey of Lex Luthor’s and when I found her, I was too late – I couldn’t help her. At least not that I had known of. The last thing I remember was crying over Lois’s body before nothing.

Then I wake up in a morgue… Not exactly the place to wake up at. Trust me on that. Thankfully Clark was able to hear me or I would have been stuck in the drawer until someone came down, and I shutter to think how long that would be or how I would explain it.

Fortunately, my trip to the morgue was because I somehow healed Lois. Trying to explain why she was alright to Lois ended up being easier than I had thought – she didn’t want to know how, as long as I was alright. Which was great for me, because I didn’t want to tell her, didn’t want to acknowledge my meteor power. Sure I was thankful for Lois being alive, but that didn’t mean I had to like being a meteor freak.

So yes, that was just over two weeks ago since I “died” and came back to life… and things have been getting stranger and stranger as the days go by.

My blonde hair had grown to a little past my shoulders overnight just a week ago.

Then my hair started to turn red… and NOTHING I use to dye it back to blonde works.

Why do weird things always happen to me?

This is Chloe Sullivan, by the way… and this is the story of how my life became even more complicated then it had been.
