CITY_LAND
city_land is an interactive team community. There are four teams you can choose to join. You will be encouraged to participate in activities from all four fandoms.
WHAT GOES ON:city_land offers you a variety of activities, challenges, and games. Most of these opportunities feature a point reward for your team when you participate. The team with the most points will win the current season. So, please be active members; you're of course not asked to complete everything, but it’s great if you can try your best.
WHAT HAPPENS HERE?
Graphics challenges (icons, wallpapers, etc).
Writing challenges (drabbles, writing games, etc.)
Games (word finds, luck games, trivia, jigsaws, team games, etc.)
Social posts and giftgiving.
GENERAL RULES:
- You must be at least 13 years of age to join this community. This is a LiveJournal rule.
- Do not spam citylounge_cafe . You are able and encouraged to post, but don't join just to pimp your icons or your community.
- Inactive members will be removed at the end of each "season". Participation is important. If you're not online at least once a week, please don't apply. Of course, we understand that some lucky people take vacations;)
- No character/show bashing in entries or comments on city_land . Keep your strong opinions for your team community ;)
- No bashing of other teams or other members.
APPLICATION RULES:
Although it's not required, it's better if you have watched at least two shows, as most of the challenges/games will include all four shows.
POINTS
You can receive points for participating in activities, and sometimes more when there is a vote. There will be a running tally of the points on the side bar, however points won't be allocated until the end of the task/activity/challenge.
There will be very few reminders on city_land . This is the job of your team leader or of your team mates to post reminders on the team's community.
Me and I:
I don't have a team, so i'm impartial. If I take part in a game or a challenge, my points will go to the current last ranking team. If you have any questions that you can't take to your team leader, please feel free to drop me a line.
GUIDELINE FOR BEGINNERS
Your first step is to accept your invitations to city_land and to your city.
Your city will either be Bon Temps (True Blood), Los Angeles (Angel), Mystic Falls (The Vampire Diaries) or Sunnydale (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Each will have their own introduction post, and also possibly their own memes, activities and discussions. Although I'm a member of each team, it will not be updated by anyone but your team leader/other members.
Your next step is to look around. At city_land , the current activities are listed in the sidebar under "open challenges". You can start participating straight away!
There are no real breaks here, but don't worry, there will be quiet times during seasons. Each season runs for 3 months.
Although it's not required, it's strongly recommended that you also join our City Lounge Café. Activities and non-points games will be held there.
