Hey Gossip Girl Fans,
I am currently enrolled in an anthropology class (3110) called research methods and I am doing a research paper on gossip girl. My research paper seeks to examine the perceptions of representation of femininity in “Gossip Girl,” and its relation with contemporary discourses of femininity, and consumption habits in young women. I specifically chose to interview females aged between 18 to 24 as this age group often deals with sexual exploration, and identification, which is also a common theme presented throughout, "Gossip Girl".
I need to have people fill in a questionnaire/survey or if anyone is willing to do a Skype interview. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone would be able to help me out. I have a consent form and everything is legitimate (which you will get a copy of too), with contact information to my professor.
If anyone is interested please contact me!

After Chuck proposed to Blair last night at central park and she turned him down, Chuck has done nothing but lay in his bed all day. He’s confused because him and Blair made a promise to each other to wait for each other until they graduated from college. But once the moment finally arrived, Blair turned a 180 and left Chuck to weep in his sorrows alone. What Chuck doesn’t know is that Blair has been crushing on Serena’s husband Steven. Steven occasionally flirts with Blair but Blair is determined to take down Serena’s relationship, expose her darkest secrets on Gossip Girl, and dump Chuck once and for all.
“Darota, give me everything you have on Steven. I want to know everything about him to show him that I know him better than his own wife does. In the meantime, I’m going out,” Blair exclaims to her maid.
Blair puts on her cashmere gloves and Tory Burch tote and heads out to meet at Serena’s new apartment. As soon as the elevator reaches the penthouse suite floor, Blair is greeted by Steven and her heart melts. Although she’s dying inside, she keeps herself composed.
“Steven, I hope you’ll be coming to Thanksgiving dinner at my house tomorrow. I saved you a seat right next to me,” Blair says coolly.
“Why thank you Blair. I certainly feel honored,” Steven replies with a grin.
Before going to Serena’s room, Blair plants small, hidden cameras into the apartment to keep an eye on Serena and Steven 24/7. She hides one on top of the refrigerator, by the television in the living room, and as soon as she enters the bedroom, she hides it in the lamp.
Serena enters and her blonde hair is gorgeous as ever. Blair cringes and puts on a fake smile. “Serena, great to see you! I have so much to tell you about Chuck.”
“What is it this time B,” Serena says rolling her eyes.
After gossiping for 40 minutes, Blair says her goodbyes and Serena gives her a last piece of friendly advice. “Blair, you two are perfect together. Don’t let him go just because you don’t feel a spark right now. You two have had a spark since high school and are meant to be together.”
Blair nods and zooms out of Serena’s room. As soon as she gets out of the elevator and starts walking around the Upper East Side, her phone keeps buzzing from calls and texts from Chuck. Indifferent to the situation, Blair decides to throw her phone into the trash, proving that she is ready to move on from the drama with Chuck and ready to become the new Gossip Girl behind Serena and Steven’s relationship.

The CW has renewed Gossip Girl and Nikita as well as freshman drama Hart of Dixie and ended the run of buzzy freshman dramas Ringer and The Secret Circle.
In a bid to fill its schedule with more original fare, the network's new president Mark Pedowitz is going on something of a pick-up/renewal spree. Earlier today, the CW ordered to series five new offerings, including Arrow and The Carrie Diaries.
Gossip Girl's sixth season pickup doesn't come as a surprise as there had been conversations about bringing back the Blake Lively-Leighton Meester hourlong for a final round as the actors' contracts expire next year. In January, executive producer Stephanie Savage told reporters that the Gossip Girl writers were leaving the story open at the end of season five. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter later that month, she suggested that next season felt like "an organic ending point."
Nikita, Dixie and Gossip join The Vampire Diaries, 90210 and Supernatural as having earned renewals at the youth-skewing network.
From what it sounds like season 6 will most likely be the last, but lets be happy we got that!!!
It's a story with which you're undoubtedly familiar: Prince Charming meets our heroine. He falls for her. His asshat of a sidekick/best friend barely tolerates the girl. Out of nowhere, the prince breaks up with the lovely lady and alienates himself from his friend. A sexual spark surprisingly blossoms between our heroine and the sidekick, who is still douchey but a surprisingly sexy one. The sidekick, now promoted as Love Interest #2, falls hard for the girl. The Prince eventually finds out and throws a tantrum. The girl and Love Interest #2 break up. She goes back to Love Interest #1, but may still have feelings for Love Interest #2. In this hotbed of betrayal and intrigue, the question remains: Who will our heroine end up with - the stoic good guy or the quintessential bad boy? After all, only one can win the girl.

So lately I've been seeing a lot more activity in the individual fan/ship communities and I would love to see this community come alive again. So I am looking for a team of mods to help do that, who love the show and want to get people excited about it again. There are 8,000 plus members here, lets start talking again :D
Moderators are expected to do the following:
- Make sure posts are approved and tagged appropriately. Also create new tags when needed.
- Post news about the show/actors/upcoming episodes.
- Monitor posts to make sure all spoilers are kept under a cut
- Respond to and answer questions members would have.
- Keep the peace if needed.
Previous mod experience is not required but a plus. If you are interested in becoming a moderator at gossipgirltv please leave a comment to this post with why you want to be a mod, any ideas you might have for the community, and if you have experience running things that as well.
Once a new mod team is put in place we will redo the mod posts, clean up the profile, and do a new header contest that is more current for the show!

Ever so long ago there lived two best friends: an honest-to-goodness swoonworthy Prince Charming and a smart-mouthed manwhore of a dark knight who started off as a minor character but has since been promoted to romantic male lead. They were like the modern-day Achilles and Patroclus, Frodo and Sam, Danny and Kenicke, Maverick and Goose. They had each other's back, practically finished each other's sentences and drank each other's Kool-Aid. The almighty royal also had a beautiful girl that adored him - his sharp-witted headstrong leading lady. At first, she and the knight used their rapier wit to tear each other to shreds, but then she started to see a deeply wounded inner child behind his brazen bravado. In a cruel twist of fate, she was dropped like a hot potato by the boy of her dreams; and the promiscuous nihilist ended up falling hard for her, his best bud's first love. The two tried to hide their sexing relationship from the prince, but when he finally found out, a cock fight ensued which made the darling princess feeling woeful and conflicted.
