I've compiled a list of frequently requested fics - fic requests that have popped up more than once in the past several months. These are common searches, so if you're looking for a fic, check this list first before you ask the comm, it just might be here!

Possible spoilers for all fics.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR...

-the fic where Arthur is the modern day Prince of Wales, and Merlin is training to be a doctor, and they meet when Arthur accidentally stumbles across Merlin locked in a linen closet, and later on Merlin uses his magic to save a little girl's life but she'll die if he falls asleep, and there are lots of lovely visual aids, then you're looking for Drastically Redifining Protocol by rageprufrock.

-the fic where Uther gets turned against Arthur and orders him arrested or killed and accuses him of treason, and Merlin reveals his magic so that they can escape, and they hide in a cave, and then they go to the Druids and meet up with Lancelot, and Arthur gathers an army to battle Camelot, and Merlin goes bonkers when he can't sense Arthur's presence, then you're looking for In Time of Trial by shinetheway.

-the fic where Morgana lives with Merlin and Will and Arthur does not approve, and Arthur wants to be a doctor but is afraid to tell his dad, and Will is constantly reading Great Expectations and dates Elaine of Astolat, and Arthur gets Merlin shoes, and Will punches Arthur but claims he got mugged, then you're looking for. -the fic where Arthur's Great Aunt Agatha (GAA) comes to visit and gives everyone awful presents, and where Arthur starts taking up with another servant because he thinks Merlin doesn't like him, and all the knights get really annoyed that Arthur's taken up with someone else, and Merlin has no idea what's going on, then you're looking for Assumptions by wrtrs_blck.

-the fic where Arthur finds out that Merlin's magic, and Merlin and Arthur keep sneaking out of the kingdom to go battle magical creatures, and they keep the heads of the animals, and a bard comes to Camelot to write a song about them, and Merlin becomes an advisor and remembers some obscure fact, and he does magic on a map so that they can find a trail, then you're looking for Onfindan by astolat.

-the fic where Arthur and Merlin can't stop having sex, and they think something must be wrong with them, and they go to Gaius and ask for his help, and Arthur makes Merlin move into his room and eat at the head table and makes him do things by offering to buy him lots of presents, and Uther makes Arthur find out what Merlin wants and what Merlin wants is for Arthur to be High King of Albion, then you're looking for Favorite by astolat.

-the fic where Merlin loses control of his magic after the Questing Beast, and it keeps doing things for him without his asking, and it seems to like Arthur more than it likes him, and it does things like tuck Arthur into bed, then you're looking for Hit Them with a Shoe by themegaloo.

-the fic where Merlin wants to learn how to fly, and he keeps changing into different animals, and he stops being able to control it, then you're looking for A Thousand Different Skins by tarayith.

-the fic where Arthur had been married to Gwen, and they have a son, and Morgana takes care of him, and Arthur meets Merlin in a convenience store and hires him to take care of his son, and Mordred is Merlin's brother, then you're looking for A Fortunate Fall by raspberry_pop.

-the fic where Arthur and Merlin are out with the knights and they're attacked, and Arthur is captured but Merlin escapes, and Merlin turns into a wolf and uses the pack to attack the bandits and save Arthur, then you're looking for Out of the Night by myrimidryad.

-the fic where everyone is reincarnated over and over but when Merlin finally finds Arthur he's a lot younger than Merlin, and Arthur's family moves in across the street from Merlin, and Morgana is actually Merlin's sister, then you're looking for All in the Timing by srin.

-the fic where Arthur and Merlin are best friends as kids but then Merlin says something about Arthur's mom, and they stop being friends, and Hunith takes a job later on as the Pendragons' maid, and she and Merlin move into the guest house, and Arthur gives Merlin a key to the main house, then you're looking for Even the Best of Friends by rah_rah_ramen.

-the fic where Merlin is deaf and wears a hearing aid, and Morgana notices that Arthur is doing things like reading and doing his homework, and Arthur learns sign language for Merlin, and they all go out to a concert together, then you're looking for . This fic has been removed by the author.

-the fic where a dragon kidnaps Merlin and announces to everyone that he's a sorcerer, and Arthur follow them so that he can rescue Merlin, then you're looking for Damsel in Distress by thehoyden.

-the fic where Arthur mentions Merlin buying something, and then realizes that Merlin didn't know he got paid, and Arthur learns that Merlin hasn't collected any of his wages, and they go to the castle steward to sort things out, then you're looking for Blindside by moiraithanatoio.

-the fic where Merlin gets invited to a party with the other servants, and then he loses his key, only it turns out the other servants took it to embarrass him, and Arthur finds out that no one ever really explained Merlin's position to him, then you're looking for Privileges of Rank by seperis.

-the fic where there are a bunch of people competing to win Merlin's hand, only Merlin isn't really aware of the fact that anyone likes him, and Arthur is in charge of mediating the competition, and he comes up with a bunch of tasks for the suitors, then you're looking for Three Tasks by syllic.

-the fic where it won't stop raining, and Merlin uses magic to save people from a landslide, and Arthur has to send him into exile because one of the knights was going to arrest him, and Merlin and Arthur sort of play telepathic chess, then you're looking for Deluge by suaine.

-the fic where Arthur and Merlin are dating, except that they're not, and everyone thinks that they're dating, and Sophia talks to Merlin about not being friends with Arthur, and Merlin has a mini-freak out, and Arthur has to find him by climbing up a tree, then you're looking for Coffeeshop Muffins by skellerbvvt.

-the fic where Merlin reveals himself to be a sorcerer in front of everyone, and instead of executing him Uther confines him to a magic-proof room and puts restraints on him, and the restraints are killing Merlin so Arthur takes them off, and Arthur gets banned from seeing Merlin, and Merlin is visited by the ghost of Igraine, and Merlin swears an oath to Arthur and magically brands himself with the Pendragon crest, then you're looking for To You I Pledge by beren_writes.

-the fic where Morgana disappears and Arthur goes looking for her, and he has to go to Merlin for help even though they broke up and haven't seen each other in months, and they have a mental connection, and Freya was killed by a magic-eating bullet, and they're all part of the resistance, and Arthur rides a motorcycle then you're looking for Echoes of Yesterday by mysecretashes.

-the fic where Merlin gets bed bugs and starts sleeping in Arthur's bed, and suddenly he can only sleep in Arthur's bed because he can't fall asleep anywhere else, and Arthur becomes obsessed with whatever soap he thinks the laundresses are using, and then he finds out that it's Merlin's scent that he's obsessed with, then you're looking for Pavlov Penis by derryere.

-the fic where it's Arthur's coming of age, and to celebrate he and Merlin and all the knights go out into the woods for three days, and it's essentially a three-day orgy because it's Arthur's last chance to really let loose before he gets married, and Merlin has absolutely no idea what's going on, then you're looking for Coming of Age by destiny_fic.

-the fic where Camelot is hosting a lot of nobles, and Arthur has to be "on" and flirt with all the eligible daughters even the ones who are too young to be married, and Merlin talks about how he thought Arthur and Morgana would get married and he's already named their kids, and Merlin makes sure that Arthur eats and brings him pie, and Merlin tries to dissuade the girls by dressing Arthur in all black but it just makes everyone swoon, then you're looking for And None But We Can Be Such Kings by janne_d.

-the fic where Merlin and Gwen make New Year's resolutions to try a different thing every month, and they join the gym where Will works, and meet Arthur and Lance and Leon and Morgana, and they do karaoke and ride motorcycles, and Merlin bungee jumps and they go camping, then you're looking for . -the fic where Merlin is ordered into the stocks on a cold day, and the guards forget to let him out so he ends up staying there pretty much overnight, and Arthur gets worried so he goes looking for him and finds him suffering from hypothermia, then you're either looking for When the Cold of Winter Comes by mel_kaine or First Snow by anon.

-the fic where Merlin is a stereotypical hipster who works in a used book/music store, and Arthur plays footie and meets Merlin helping Leon sell back his books, and Arthur starts reading obscure books and trying to find out what Merlin likes so he can have something to talk to him about, and Morgana thinks he's having an indie-off, and Merlin is an artist who has a big show where all the paintings are about Arthur, then you're looking for Arthur and the Real Boy by frantic.

-the fic where Arthur works for Prime Minister Gaius and Merlin is his PA, and Merlin has this weird system of organizing that isn't organized at all, and he keeps fish on his desk and named them Arthur and Merlin, and Arthur loves cats but is allergic to them so Merlin doses him with allergy medicine and sneaks a cat into the office, and "play them off, Keyboard Cat", and Merlin wants Oscar Wilde on a stamp, and Arthur gets him a magic book for Christmas, then you're looking for Keep Calm and Carry On by tongueincheeky.
