Does she look like young Sarah Jessica Parker to you?

After a lot of early speculation about who should land the part, AnnaSophia Robb, 18, has been cast as the lead in the pilot The Carrie Diaries, the prequel to Sex and the City, reports Variety.

More: "It's a coming-of-age story," says Bushnell.

The show is based on the novel The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell. It will explore a 17-year-old Bradshaw in the 1980s. Robb recently starred in Soul Surfer.
