The 1988 West German Athletics Championships (German: Deutsche Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften 1988) was the 88th edition of the national championship in outdoor track and field for West Germany. Die 88. Deutschen Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften fanden vom 22. bis 24. Juli 1988 im Frankfurter Waldstadion statt. Florian Schwarthoff erzielte über 110 Meter Hürden mit 13,50 Sekunden einen neuen bundesdeutschen Rekord.
