- Alain Joyandet (born 15 January 1954) is a French politician who was appointed Secretary of State for Cooperation and Francophony in the government of François Fillon from 18 March 2008 to July 2010. Prior to that, he was CEO of the Société Nouvelle des Éditions Comtoises (SNEC), a publisher of weekly newspapers and journals. He is a journalist by training. He has been mayor of Vesoul since 1995 and senator of Franche-Comté from 1995 to 2002. In 2010, he won the UMP nomination for President of Franche-Comté, but lost to socialist candidate Marie-Guite Dufay in the general election. (en)

Industriel et patron de presse locale, il a été secrétaire d'État chargé de la Coopération et de la Francophonie, du 18 mars 2008 au 4 juillet 2010, date à laquelle, mis publiquement en difficulté au sein du gouvernement, il démissionna de son poste. Il a été maire de Vesoul pendant 17 ans, de 1995 à 2012, et député de la 1re circonscription de la Haute-Saône. En 2014, deux ans après avoir quitté tous ses mandats politiques et avoir annoncé mettre un terme à sa carrière parlementaire, il redevient néanmoins sénateur. Il est élu conseiller régional de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté le 13 décembre 2015 et est réélu le 27 juin 2021. (fr)
