Alexander Evreinov (original) (raw)
Alexander Nikolaevich Evreinov (8 March 1877 – 20 August 1959) was a Russian bishop, who converted to Russian Greek Catholic Church from Russian Orthodoxy. Being a citizen with a noble origin in Saint Petersburg, Evreinov was a member of the Foreign Affairs department of the Russian nation before his conversion to the Catholic faith and ordination to the priesthood. His consecration as a Catholic bishop of the Byzantine tradition was only formal, because Evreinov did not have any jurisdiction among Russian Catholics neither in the Soviet Union nor in the Russian diaspora. Evreinov was a member of the Russian Apostolate.
