Alexei Iwanowitsch Jekimow (russisch Алексей Иванович Екимов, auch als Aleksei Ekimov transkribiert; * 28. Februar 1945) ist ein russischer Physiker. Jekimow ist zusammen mit Louis Brus und Alexander Efros Entdecker kolloidaler Halbleiter-Nanokristallen, bekannt als Quantenpunkt. Jekimow erhielt den Ph.D. und den Doktor für Physik am Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute in Leningrad, Russland. Er erhielt den Staatspreis in Physik und Technologie der UdSSR und den Alexander-von-Humboldt-Preis für seine Arbeiten an Quantenpunkten und ist Inhaber einiger Patente.

He was awarded the 1975 USSR State Prize in Science and Engineering for work on electron spin orientation in semiconductors. He is co-recipient of the 2006 R. W. Wood Prize of the Optical Society of America for "discovery of nanocrystal quantum dots and pioneering studies of their electronic and optical properties".
