Andrew David Smith (born 1 February 1951) is a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Oxford East from 1987 until 2017. He served in the Cabinet as Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 1999 to 2002 and then as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions from 2002 to 2004. Smith retired from the House of Commons at the 2017 general election. (en)

Wykształcenie odebrał w Reading School i w St John’s College na Uniwersytecie w Oksfordzie. W latach 1976-1987 był członkiem rady miasta Oksford. W 1983 startował bez powodzenia w wyborach do Izby Gmin w okręgu Oxford East. Ponownie wystartował w tym okręgu w 1987 i tym razem uzyskał mandat parlamentarny, który sprawuje do tej pory. Po wyborczym zwycięstwie laburzystów w 1997 został młodszym ministrem w departamencie edukacji i zatrudnienia. W 1999 wszedł w skład gabinetu jako naczelny sekretarz skarbu.
