The "Robin" range is the former Avions Robin DR400 4-seater aircraft of wooden construction, the "Alpha" range is the former Avions Robin R2000 all-metal 2-seater aircraft series, and the "CAP" range is the former Mudry/CAP Aviation's (Constructions Aéronautiques Parisiennes) CAP-10 training and CAP-232 single seater high performance aerobatic aircraft. The Robin R2000 type certificates and manufacturing equipment have been transferred to Alpha Aviation in New Zealand together with marketing rights outside Europe. The aircraft is marketed by them as the Alpha 2000 and they continue to supply the aircraft and parts to Apex. In September 2008 Apex went into liquidation. Apex Aircraft was acquired by CEAPR (Centre-Est Aéronautique Pierre Robin) in late 2008. Supplies of spares resumed in March 2009. Die Gruppe besteht aus den einzelnen Gesellschaften Centrair, Cap Industries, Apex Industries und der Vertriebsgesellschaft Apex Aircraft, die Flugzeuge der in der Gruppe hergestellten Handelsmarken Robin und Alpha vertreibt. Apex übernahm 1988 die Geschäfte der Avions Pierre Robin mit den bekannten Jodel-Flugzeugen. 1997 kam der Hersteller Avions Mudry mit in die Gruppe. Robin war in Deutschland vor allem durch seine Schleppflugzeuge Robin DR 400 bekannt, die teilweise auch mit Porsche-Flugmotor angeboten wurden. Im Jahr 2004 wurden etwa 160 Mitarbeiter beschäftigt, die einen Jahresumsatz von 20 Millionen Euro erwirtschaften. Pro Jahr wurden etwa 60 Flugzeuge produziert. Insgesamt versorgte die Gruppe 4000 Flugzeuge weltweit mit Ersatzteilen und Serviceangeboten. Im Herbst 2008 meldete die Apex Group Bankrott an. Die Firma Robin wurde von der CEAPR aufgekauft. Die kanadische Abteilung der Vertriebsgesellschaft Apex Aircraft existiert noch. Nel 1997 il costruttore si è aggiunse al gruppo. In Germania la Robin era conosciuta soprattutto per i suoi , che erano stati in parte proposti sul mercato nazionale con motori Porsche. Nel 2004 vi erano impiegati circa 160 lavoratori e le entrate annue ammontavano a 20 Milioni di euro. Ogni anno venivano prodotti circa 60 aerei. Negli anni successivi però l'accresciuta concorrenza accomunata dalla generale crisi del settore comportò un costante ridimensionamento delle attività produttive fino ad arrivare alla chiusura. Nel settembre 2008 la Apex venne posta in liquidazione ed acquistata dalla alla fine dello stesso anno. L'azienda, che già forniva pezzi di ricambio e servizi ad una clientela mondiale, continua ad operare nello stesso settore in attesa della ripresa dell'attività di produzione anche di velivoli completi.
