Aplexa hypnorum, or by the common name, the moss bladder snail, is a species of small air-breathing freshwater snail, an aquatic pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Physidae, a family which are sometimes known as the bladder snails. As is true of all physids, the shell is sinistral, or left-handed. The species inhabits temporary water bodies and occurs in the Eurosiberian Boreo-temperate or possibly the Eurasian Boreo-temperate if East Siberia specimens are correctly identified. It may be Holarctic, again if North American specimens are correctly identified.

Zasięg występowania tego gatunku obejmuje niemal całą Europę, północną Azję i północną część Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce spotykany na obszarze całego kraju, choć ginący, ujęty na Czerwonej Liście Zwierząt Polski w kategorii NT - bliski zagrożenia. Lokalnie jednak w odpowiednich siedliskach może być liczny. Zasiedla wody małych zbiorników, głównie na terenach torfowych i bagnistych, a także okresowo zalewanych; także oczka i bagienka śródleśne z opadłymi liśćmi, oraz śródleśne źrodliska. Jest wyjątkowo odporny na wysychanie. Muszla lewoskrętna (5,5–6 skrętów), jajowato-wrzecionowata, żółtawobrunatna, o powierzchni bardzo gładkiej i lśniącej, wysokości 9–15 mm.
