Η Ένωση για τα Συστήματα Πληροφόρησης (αγγλικά: Association for Information Systems - AIS) ιδρύθηκε το 1994 και αποτελεί τον οργανισμό που προωθεί την ορθή χρήση και εφαρμογή των συστημάτων πληροφόρησης σε διεθνές επίπεδο. (el) The Association for Information Systems (AIS) is an international, not-for-profit, professional association for scholars of information systems that was established in 1994. The association publishes journals, organizes conferences, and provides a forum for information systems professors and managers. It has members in more than 100 countries. The association is led by a president who is annually elected from one of three world regions—the Americas, Europe and Africa and Asia-Pacific—on a rotating basis. The governing council is made up of elected functional vice-presidents and other officers and council members who are elected in the three world regions. The association organizes four annual conferences for IS researchers, educators and students: The International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), which alternates between the three world regions, and three regional conferences: the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), and the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS). (en) L'Association for Information Systems (AIS) et son homologue français l'Association Information & Management (AIM) constituent une communauté d'enseignants, chercheurs, professionnels et spécialistes en système d'information (SI) au sein de laquelle s'échange et se diffuse l'avancement des connaissances et les bonnes pratiques relatives au sujet. Elle est la première association internationale de professionnels dans le domaine de la recherche, l'enseignement, la pratique et l'étude des systèmes d'information. Cette communauté ne s'est pas constituée dans un but lucratif mais avec la volonté de servir la société. L'association constitue réellement un réseau mondial, à ce titre elle met en relation les demandeurs d'emploi dans le domaine des SI avec des employeurs et diffuse des opportunités de recherche dans le milieu universitaire. Career Services est un service proposé par l'association uniquement voué à cela. Les membres de l'association viennent approximativement d'une centaine de pays différents, on distingue notamment trois régions principales : * L' Amérique * L'Europe, le Moyen-Orient et l'Afrique * L'Asie et le Pacifique Un président est élu chaque année par les membres de l'association dans une de ces trois régions. Ces élections sont effectuées dans un optique de rotation, autrement dit, deux présidents issus d'une même région ne peuvent se succéder.
