Better Light, Inc. is an American company that manufactures digital backs for large format film cameras. It is based in San Carlos, California. Better Light scan backs replace film cassettes used in 4x5 view cameras and copy stands and microscopes that can use 4x5 film holders. The form factor is close to the same one found in the Polaroid 545 Land Film Holder. The company's president, Mike Colette, worked as an instrumentation engineer before starting the company in 1992.
