Cantua és un gènere de plantes amb flor de la família Polemoniaceae, que de manera natural es fa en molts països de la part central de sud Amèrica, on moltes de les seves espècies són endèmiques. Hom hi reconeix des de 12 fins a una cinquantena d'espècies encara que les anàlisis d'ADN estan fent reconsiderar l'atribució de moltes espècies vegetals a un gènere o altre.

Juss. (es) Cantua est un genre de plantes dicotylédones de la famille des Polemoniaceae. (fr) Cantua Juss. ex Lam. – rodzaj roślin należący do rodziny wielosiłowatych (Polemoniaceae). Obejmuje ok. 18 gatunków. Występują w Ameryce Południowej w Andach od Ekwadoru i Peru, po północne Chile i Boliwię. Латинское научное название образовано от перуанского слова ccantu, у кечуа qantua, qantuta, в Боливии kantuta.
