Carnival of Ovar (European Portuguese: [kaɾ.nɐ.ˈvaɫ dɨ o.ˈvaɾ]) is a major Portuguese tourist event that takes place in Ovar, in the Aveiro Region. This event is organized in a modern fashion, since 1952. Because it attracts thousands of visitors every year, it eventually became the trademark event of the city. Mixing local traditions with Samba school parades (since 1983) it stands as one of the most traditional celebrations in Portugal. It is also, arguably, claimed as the best Carnaval in the country.

Organizado sob a forma de três Corsos Carnavalescos (compostos por mais de 2000 figurantes) e vários eventos culturais, ao longo de várias semanas, este evento tem a particularidade de ser integralmente constituído por voluntários do município. Ao contrário daquilo que é habitual nos carnavais de outras cidades, em que são convidadas personalidades famosas para apadrinhar o evento, o "Rei" e "Rainha" do Carnaval de Ovar são sempre cidadãos comuns do município.
