Kepala Protokol Negara (bahasa Inggris: Chief of Protocol) adalah pejabat pemerintah yang mengepalai bidang protokoler suatu negara, mengawasi keamanan, logistik, dan etiket dalam fungsi diplomatik baik nasional ataupun internasional. Bidang keprotokoleran negara memutuskan hak keistimewaan tamu diplomatik, keamanan tuan rumah diplomatik, penggunaan lalu-lintas udara untuk keperluan diplomatik serta memastikan semua etiket kenegaraan berjalan dengan lancar. Bidang keprotokoleran ini biasanya dipimpin oleh Kepala Protokol yang terlibat sebagai kontak pertama dengan delegasi pemerintah asing yang bertamu ke negara penyambut untuk melaksanakan perencanaan kegiatan kedepan, seperti pertemuan puncak kunjungan bilateral maupun multilateral.
