Claudia G. Kauffman (born July 15, 1959) is an American politician who is a member-elect of the Washington State Senate for the 47th district. She previously served the district for one term, from 2007 to 2011. She was defeated in 2010 by a large margin, making a successful return to politics in 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the first Native American (Nez Perce) woman elected to the upper chamber.
