Clifford David Boomsma (20 October 1915 – 13 January 2004) was an Australian forester, botanist and botanical collector. Boomsma was born in Gawler in South Australia in 1915 and became a ward of the state at three years of age. He completed his early schooling in Mylor in the Adelaide hills He established an arboretum devoted to the endemic South Australian eucalypts near Monarto in the Adelaide hills in the 1980s. The standard author abbreviation Boomsma is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name.
