Cotoneaster lucidus, the shiny cotoneaster, or hedge cotoneaster, is a deciduous, medium-sized shrub with long, spreading branches reaching heights (and breadths) of 6' to 10'. It is native to parts of northern Asia, and adapted to tolerate colder weather(to zone 4). C. lucidus was described in 1856 by Diederich Franz Leonhard von Schlechtendal. Some authorities consider it to be a synonym of Cotoneaster acutifolius, the Peking cotoneaster.

(pl) Häckoxbär (Cotoneaster lucidus) är en växt i oxbärssläktet som beskrevs av Diederich von Schlechtendal. Arten är naturligt förekommande i delar av Asien. (sv) Кизи́льник блестя́щий (лат. Cotoneáster lucídus) — вид кустарников рода Кизильник (Cotoneaster) семейства Розовые (Rosaceae). В 2000 году китайские учёные установили, что Cotoneaster lucidus является разновидностью Cotoneaster acutifolius var. lucidus (Schltdl.) . Встречается в Китае (провинция Ганьсу) и на юге Сибири. Произрастает по скалистым склонам, на галечниках рек, в зарослях кустарников и лиственично-смешанных лесах. Кустарник декоративен, хорошо переносит стрижку и достаточно неприхотлив, поэтому его используют для организации живых изгородей и бордюров. (ru) |
