David Matthew Hodne (born November 30, 1969) is a United States Army major general who serves as the commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson since August 19, 2021. He most recently served as the 59th Commandant of the United States Army Infantry School from August 3, 2018 to August 6, 2021 and Chief of Infantry of the United States Army from July 16, 2018 to August 6, 2021. He was simultaneously dual-hatted as Director of the Soldier Lethality Cross-Functional Team.
