Decamentathlon ist ein Mehrkampf, der für die erste Denk-Sport-Olympiade geschaffen wurde, um das beste Denk-Sport-Multitalent der Welt zu finden. Der erste Platz war ursprünglich dotiert mit 10.000 £, genauso hoch wie die höchstdotierte Einzeldisziplin, die von Skandia gesponsert war. Während die anderen Disziplinen zeitlich stärker verteilt waren, fand Decamentathlon in einer Sitzung statt. Die Disziplin war gedacht als Flaggschiff der Denk-Sport-Olympiade. Trotzdem wird heute Pentamind als wichtiger angesehen.

It was founded to try to find the best games all-rounder in the world and hence possibly the best games player. It was given a prize fund of £10,000 for the inaugural competition, that equalledthat of the highest funded event at the first MSO sponsored by Skandia. However, the other events were spread over multiple playing sessions whereas the Decamentathlon was held over just a single session. This event was initially hailed as the MSO flagship event.
