- محمد فاروق ستار (بالأردوية: محمد فاروق ستار)، (9 أبريل 1959) سياسي باكستاني كان سابقًا منظمًا وقائدًا للحركة القومية المتحدة - باكستان. ولد ستار في كراتشي، وتلقى تعليمه في جامعة جناح السند الطبية في كراتشي. بدأ حياته السياسية عام 1987 كرئيس لبلدية كراتشي. وفي عام 1993 شغل منصب زعيم المعارضة في مجلس مقاطعة السند وكان عضوًا في مجلس الوزراء الإقليمي والحكومي منذ عام 1997. كما شغل منصب وزير المقاطعة في حكومة السند من 1997 إلى 1999، ووزير اتحادي للباكستانيين في الخارج من 2008 إلى 2013. وقد كان نائب منظّم الحركة القومية المتحدة - باكستان وزعيمها البرلماني في الجمعية الوطنية الباكستانية. وقد كان عضوًا في الجمعية الوطنية لباكستان وجمعية مقاطعة السند منذ عام 1988 وممثلاً لكراتشي. - Muhammad Farooq Sattar (Urdu: محمد فاروق ستار; born 9 April 1959) is a Pakistani politician who is the founder & former leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, who split it from MQM founder and leader Altaf Hussain, he announced separate faction after released from custody by the Pakistan Rangers, a paramilitary organization. Born in Karachi, Sattar was educated at the BVS parsi high school and completed his medical degree From Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Karachi. Sattar began his political career in 1987 as the Dala of Karachi. In 1993, he served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Sindh and had been a member of the provincial and federal cabinet, in various positions, since 1997. He served as the provincial Minister in Sindh government from 1997 to 1999 and as the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis from 2008 to 2013. He had been the deputy convener of the MQM as well its parliamentary leader in the National Assembly of Pakistan. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and Provincial Assembly of Sindh since 1988, representing Karachi. (en)
