Great Nicobar Development Plan is proposed massive infrastructure plan for the southern tip of Great Nicobar Island, India. The project is considered as crucial to for purpose of defence, logistics, commerce and industries. On 25th May 2021, terms of reference of project has granted after meeeting held by Expert Appraisal Committee. The project has four components: Acquired land will mostly be used for Eco-tourism, Coastal Tourism. And for Coastal Regulation Zone and defence purpose. The project is proposed to spread over 166 square kilometers of the 910 square kilometer island.

And for Coastal Regulation Zone and defence purpose. The project is proposed to spread over 166 square kilometers of the 910 square kilometer island. The developing authority of this project is Andaman and Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation and it is scouted by NITI Aayog. Feasibility reports has been prepared by AECOM India and has been sent to NITI Aayog. Total Project worth is worth Rs. ₹75,000 crore. (en) |
