Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5 is a 3D CGI science fiction sports animated television series created by Mattel, Nelvana Limited, and Nerd Corps Entertainment, based on the Hot Wheels toy line by the American toy maker, Mattel which was introduced in 1968. A two-episode preview aired on Cartoon Network in the United States on August 24, 2009; it was shown on Cartoon Network India starting on April 30, 2010 and on Cartoon Network Philippines from July 3, 2010. The series made its official debut on August 29, 2009. According to a HotWheels.com page as of July 14, 2010 describing "BATTLE FORCE 5 Battle Action Assortment" toys, vehicles combine forces to create even more powerful combat machines. The second season began airing September 18, 2010. The series does not follow nor ever referenced the events from the World Race or AcceleRacers franchises, with the exception of the character, Vert Wheeler, who appeared in both of the franchises. The first trailer for the series was released on the official Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 website on June 25, 2009. The first two episodes aired on Monday, August 24. This is the fourth show produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment, following League of Super Evil, Storm Hawks, and Dragon Booster. The series completed two seasons with 52 episodes and a Spanish direct to TV Film being released in Latin America. (en)

Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 é uma série americana/canadense de animação computadorizada (CGI) criada pela Mattel e produzida pela Nelvana (a mesma de Os Padrinhos Mágicos e Os Backyardigans) em parceria com a Nerd Corps Entertainment (a mesma de Dragon Booster e Storm Hawks). Battle Force 5 foi parcialmente baseada na série de filmes Hot Wheels AcceleRacers, que também tem como protagonista o personagem Vert Wheeler. Apesar disso, a série demonstra não ter nenhuma ligação com AcceleRacers. A sua estreia oficial foi em 28 de agosto de 2009 no Cartoon Network dos Estados Unidos com uma temporada contendo 26 episódios e tendo o seu término em 14 de maio de 2010. A segunda temporada, que foi intitulada de "Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5 – Fused", estreou em 18 de setembro de 2010 e terminou em 16 de julho de 2011, totalizando 26 episódios, assim como a primeiro. No Brasil, a série começou a ser exibida primeiramente no Cartoon Network (em canal fechado) e tempos depois, no SBT (em canal aberto), tendo sido exibido nos programas: Bom Dia & Cia e Sábado Animado. A Activision desenvolveu um jogo de acordo com a série para consoles de Video Games.
