His wife and the mother of his daughters was Joan Fitzalan, daughter of Richard Fitzalan, 10th Earl of Arundel, and Eleanor of Lancaster, whom he married after 9 September 1359. On his death, his estates were inherited by his two surviving daughters and his titles went into abeyance: * Eleanor de Bohun (1366 - 3 October 1399); married Thomas of Woodstock, 1st Duke of Gloucester, youngest son of Edward III; mother of Anne of Gloucester. * Mary de Bohun, who married Henry Bolingbroke, the future King Henry IV of England. * Elizabeth de Bohun, died young.
