Introducing Joss Stone (stylised as Introducing... Joss Stone) is the third studio album by English singer and songwriter Joss Stone, released on 9 March 2007 by Virgin Records. Stone began writing the album in April 2006 in Barbados, before meeting up with producer Raphael Saadiq in the Bahamas to record the songs. Introducing Joss Stone also features guest vocal appearances by rapper Common and singer Lauryn Hill. Upon its release, the album was met with generally positive reviews from music critics. Introducing Joss Stone was not as commercially successful as Stone's previous albums in her native United Kingdom, peaking at number 12 on the UK Albums Chart and selling 27,000 copies in its first week. In the United States, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 118,000 units, yielding the second highest debut for a British female solo artist on the chart. It also performed well across continental Europe, charting inside the top 10 in several countries. The album has sold 1.3 million copies worldwide. (en)

Introducing Joss Stone is het derde studioalbum van de Britse soulzangeres Joss Stone. Het album is uitgebracht op 12 maart 2007 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, op 9 maart 2007 in Duitsland en op 20 maart 2007 wereldwijd via Virgin Records. Stone is begonnen met het schrijven van het album op het eiland Barbados in mei 2006. Het album is opgenomen in Compass Point Studios in Nassau op de Bahama's. Joss Stone beschrijft het album als "echt van mezelf, daarom heb ik het Introducing Joss Stone genoemd. Dit zijn mijn teksten en dit is wie ik ben als artiest." Maar nu kijkt ze daar toch anders op terug. Deze uitspraak had Stone gedaan voordat het album werd uitgebracht en voor de uitgave is er een hoop aan het album gewijzigd. Zo stonden er eerst andere nummers op; I Wish en Not Real Love zijn er later door de platenmaatschappij vanaf gehaald. Er zijn ook wat nummers hertiteld, zoals Proper Nice, dat eerder I'm Fallin' heette. De eerste single van het album, Tell Me 'bout It, kwam binnen in de UK Singles Chart op nummer 28. Het album kwam al op internet te staan op 7 maart 2007, voordat het in de UK Albums Chart op nummer 12 binnenkwam. Het album werd in de eerste week meer dan 27.000 keer verkocht. Het kwam in de Billboard 200 op nummer 2, met 124.000 verkochte albums in de eerste week. Dit is de hoogste plaats in de U.S. Billboard 200 voor een Britse vrouwelijke artiest. A pré-produção começou em Barbados em 2006 e foi gravado no Compass Point Studios nas Bahamas. O álbum foi todo produzido pelo renomado pelo músico de neo soul Raphael Saadiq. O álbum ficou em décimo segundo lugar em vendas na parada UK Albums Chart vendendo 27.000 cópias apenas na primeira semana de vendas e vendeu mais de 120 mil cópias apenas na primira semana de vendas nos Estados Unidos. Em Março de 2007, a EMI anunciou que o álbum tinha ultrapassado 1.3 milhões de cópias vendidas no mundo e 608 mil copias foram vendidas em dois mês no Estados Unidos sendo cerfiticado de disco de ouro pelas vendas. Álbum conta com 2 Singles a nível mundial, Esse álbum é um álbum de trabalho diferente de todos os que Joss já lançou, devido as suas faixas terem um estilo mais pop e soul contemporâneo e em seus videoclipes, onde Joss aparece mais mulher, mais madura e com cabelos ruivos e ondulados, o que diferencia seus antigos videoclipes onde aparece com cabelos loiros. Sem dúvida, Introducing Joss Stone é um dos trabalhos mais maduros de Joss, mas muito criticada pelo novo visual adotado para divulgação do disco, assim como aconteceu com Stripped da Christina Aguilera.
