It Dies Today (a veces abreviado como IDT) es un grupo de metalcore formado en Buffalo, Nueva York, en septiembre de 2001. La agrupación posee sin duda una gran madurez pese a su corta edad, tanto de formada como la edad de sus integrantes. Integrada por el vocalista, Nicholas Brooks, el guitarrista Chris Cappelli y el guitarrista Steve Lemke (quien actualmente toca el bajo), y en las guitarras; esta banda crea una mezcla de riffs pesados con matices melódicos. The band achieved popular success in 2004 with the release of their debut album, The Caitiff Choir. After frontman Nicholas Brooks departed in 2006, just after the release of the band's sophomore effort Sirens, It Dies Today released Lividity in 2009 before going on hiatus in 2010. The band reunited briefly for a show in 2012, but the reunion paused again in 2015. (en)
