Ο Ιωάννης Κολιόπουλος (1942 - 4 Ιουλίου 2022) ήταν Έλληνας ιστορικός και πανεπιστημιακός. Συνέγραψε σημαντικό αριθμό βιβλίων ιστορικών έργων κυρίως πάνω στην νεότερη ελληνική ιστορία, και κυρίως στη νεότερη ιστορία της Μακεδονίας. Το ερευνητικό και συγγραφικό του έργο εντοπίζεται κυρίως στην ιστορική περίοδο από τον Μακεδονικό Αγώνα στην νότια Βαλκανική έως τον Β΄ Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο στην Ελλάδα. (el) John S.
