Kapesovo (Greek: Καπέσοβο) is a village in the Zagori region (Epirus region), it is 43 km north of Ioannina. The name Kapesovo is Slavic and means garden. The village used to be more south near Baya (Kipi), where many vegetables were grown and it was called "Kapouska". It was later moved to its current position for health reasons. There is a big cliff next to the village called "Kapesios" (a Slavic word that means cliff) and the name of the village might be related to it. The village is near the Vikos canyon, the view of which is spectacular at certain spots.

Το χωριό βρίσκεται σε μικρή απόσταση από το φαράγγι του Βίκου, όπου από ορισμένα σημεία του χωριού η θέα προς αυτό είναι πανοραμική. Αξιοσημείωτο είναι και το πετρόκτιστο μονοπάτι που συνδέει το Καπέσοβο με το γειτονικό Βραδέτο (σκάλα Βραδέτου). Τον 17ο και 18ο αιώνα πολλοί Καπεσοβίτες διακρίθηκαν ως αγιογράφοι (μπογάδες στην τοπική διάλεκτο) και ξυλογλύπτες και πολλές από τις εκκλησίες του Ζαγορίου και γενικότερα της Ηπείρου διακοσμήθηκαν από έργα εντόπιων τεχνιτών. Από το χωριό κατάγονται και οι ευεργέτες , οι οποίοι ίδρυσαν με δικές τους δαπάνες την Πασχάλειο σχολή (ιδρύθηκε το 1861), όπου φιλοξενεί σήμερα ένα από τα τρία πρωτότυπα έντυπα της Χάρτας του Ρήγα Φεραίου. Σήμερα το χωριό διατηρεί την παραδοσιακή ζαγορήσια αρχιτεκτονική, ξεχωρίζουν ο ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου, κτισμένος το 1793 με δαπάνη του Καπεσοβίτη , το πολιτιστικό κέντρο και το λαογραφικό μουσείο. Κατά τους χειμερινούς μήνες αποτελεί τουριστικό προορισμό για Έλληνες και ξένους περιηγητές.
