- Laputa was a Japanese Nagoya kei rock band, active from 1993 to 2004. The band chose its name from the flying island in Gulliver's Travels and tried to portray a similar unrealistic view of the world with their performance. Their 1997 album Emadera was named one of the top albums from 1989 to 1998 in a 2004 issue of the music magazine Band Yarouze. (en)

- Laputa (ラピュータ) foi uma banda japonesa de rock visual kei formada em Nagoya, ativa de 1993 a 2004. Sua formação principal contava com os fundadores Aki (vocais) e Tomoi (bateria), o baixista Junji e guitarrista Kouichi. O nome, escolhido pelo vocalista, foi derivado da ilha voadora Laputa de As Viagens de Gulliver, também mencionada no popular filme Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Conhecido por sua musicalidade "sombria, forte e melódica", o grupo foi creditado um dos criadores e propagadores do subgênero Nagoya kei.
