Lingkaran Survei Indonesia (LSI) is an Indonesian survey and political consultancy institution. It was founded in 2005 by a group of public opinion makers, researchers, columnists and survey experts. LSI is active in committing political surveys, for example during the General Election (Pemilu) or District Head General Election (Pilkada). In 2011, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) awarded LSI an “Achievement Award” since it was judged that LSI has provided significant contribution to the field of social science, political communication, and election politics in Indonesia.

The reasoning behind that meeting was stated as due to Lingkaran Survei Indonesia being considered as an influential political institution in Indonesia, especially as its role as the pioneer of such form of institution in Indonesia. LSI didirikan pada tahun 2005 oleh sejumlah pembuat opini publik, peneliti, kolumnis, ahli survei, yang sejak lama terlibat dalam dunia penelitian. LSI aktif melakukan survei politik, baik pada Pemilu ataupun Pilkada. Pada tahun 2011, Universitas Kristen Indonesia (UKI) memberikan penghargaan “Achievement Award” kepada LSI karena dipandang berjasa telah memberi warna bagi ilmu sosial, komunikasi politik, dan politik pemilu di Indonesia. LSI membawa tradisi ilmu sosial kuantitatif dengan kemampuannya memprediksi hasil pemilu yang belum terjadi. LSI juga dianggap berjasa membuat hasil riset menarik diberitakan bahkan menjadi "headline" di media nasional. LSI juga dinilai mewarnai politik praktis dan komunikasi politik di Indonesia Sebagai pelopor konsultan politik, Lingkaran Survei Indonesia ([LSI]) kerap menjadi bahan studi dan menjadi tempat studi banding politisi luar negeri. Pada akhir tahun 2010, sejumlah delegasi Kongres Amerika (AS) dipimpin mengadakan audiensi dengan Lingkaran Survei Indonesia. Kedatangan delegasi kongres Amerika yang berjumlah lima orang tersebut sebagai bagian dari rangkaian kegiatannya di Indonesia untuk mengunjungi sejumlah lembaga seperti DPR, partai politik dan elit politik berpengaruh di Indonesia. Mengenai pilihannya untuk berkunjung ke LSI, delegasi kongres tersebut berpandangan karena Lingkaran Survei Indonesia dianggap sebagai representasi konsultan politik yang memiliki pengaruh dalam politik nasional di Indonesia.
