More plains, originally called Kiang Chu Thang in the local language, is a plateau on the Leh–Manali Highway. Kiang Chu Thang means a plain where the kiang (Tibetan wild ass) does not find water. It occupies 40 km of the highway between Leh and . The plateau has an average elevation of 4,800 metres. The road is flanked by beautiful mountains on both sides. At some places, it runs along the Sumkhel Lungpa River, featuring stunning sand and rock natural formations. The area is without any population or development.

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Indian Army has converted the road to two lanes, one in each direction. The area is without any population or development. Flanqueado longitudinalmente em ambos os lados por altas montanhas, tem cerca de 40 a 50 km, e é atravessado pela estrada Manali–Lé. Vindo por essa estrada de sul, chega-se ao planalto após 4 km a subir depois de Pang. Depois de percorrer a zona plana do planalto ao longo de cerca de 35 km, a estrada sobe novamente, em direção ao passo Taglang La (5 328 m). O planalto fica cerca de 100 km a sul de Upshi, 170 km a sul de Lé, 160 km a nordeste de Jispa e 300 km a nordeste de Manali.
