Noxolo Kiviet is a South African politician, the former Premier of the Eastern Cape from 2009 to 2014 and former speaker of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature (2004–2009; 2014–2019). She is a member of the African National Congress. In June 2012 Kiviet was rated as the worst performing provincial premier by the South African Public Service Commission. Following the May 2019 general election, Kiviet became a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. She was named Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure by President Cyril Ramaphosa. She took office on 30 May 2019 and currently serves alongside Minister Patricia de Lille. (en)
