Oasis were a British music group, formed in 1984. The group consisted of Peter Skellern, Julian Lloyd Webber, , Bill Lovelady and Mary Hopkin. Their only album, Oasis, was released on the WEA label along with two singles. The album reached No. 23 on the UK Albums Chart after first charting in April 1984; it remained in the charts for 15 weeks.

On peut noter que ce disque est sorti dans certains pays sous le nom d'Oasis (Japon) et dans d'autres pays (G-B pour les rééditions) sous le nom des musiciens respectifs (Skellern-Lloyd Webber-Hopkin-Lovelady-Dalton), mais le contenu est identique. Le groupe devait partir en tournée avec au violoncelle, mais la santé de Mary a interrompu le projet ainsi que tout nouvel album. (fr) |
