Die Seestraße von Olchon (russisch:Ольхонские Ворота Olchonskie Worota) ist eine Meerenge des Baikalsees. Die 8,3 km lange Straße ist 1,2 bis 2,3 km breit und bis zu 100 m tief. Die Straße trennt die Insel Olchon vom westlichen Ufer des Baikalsees. Der südliche Teil der Straße mündet in den zentralen Teil des Baikals, am nördlichen Teil schließt sich die Bucht „Kleines Meer“ (Малое море) an. It separates the south-west of Olkhon Island from the western shore of Baikal. In the north the strait opens out into the Maloe More strait, and to the south into the central open Baikal. Its length is about 8.3 km, width is 1.2 - 2.3 km. Average depth is 30 - 40 m, at the south of the strait the depth reaches 100 m. There is a rather strong current in the strait, and the waves can reach 5 m in height. The banks of the strait are mostly steep and precipitous, the shoreline is a rugged with long narrow capes and bays. To the north-north-west of the strait the valley of the Sarma River lies, the source of Sarma wind - the strongest wind of the Baikal. In the middle part of the strait the ferry "Sakhyurta (MRS) — Olkhon Island" operates from 15 May to 15 December. In the winter time an ice-road is opened. Аман — «рот, зев») — узкий пролив, отделяющий с юго-запада байкальский остров Ольхон от материка. На севере пролив выходит в Малое Море, на юге — в основную акваторию Байкала. Длина пролива — 8,3 км, наименьшая ширина — 1,2 км. Средняя глубина — 30—40 м, у южного входа в пролив глубины достигают 100 м. Берега большей частью крутые и обрывистые, побережье изрезано длинными узкими заливами и бухтами. Пролив отличается довольно сильным для Байкала течением, а приходящие с разных сторон волны могут достигать 5-метровой высоты. Зимой на льду пролива возникает множество трещин и пропарин.К северо-западу от пролива прямо на осевой линии, как бы своим продолжением, лежит долина реки Сармы, откуда дует самый сильный байкальский ветер — сарма. В средней части пролива от села Сахюрта действует паромная переправа «МРС — Остров Ольхон» протяжённостью 2,1 км. В зимнее время действует ледовая дорога. В 2005 году южнее переправы по дну пролива был проложен высоковольтный кабель, обеспечивший остров Ольхон электричеством. (ru) |
