PROJ.4, bzw. nun PROJ, ist eine Programmbibliothek, mit der man Geodaten zwischen verschiedenen Kartennetzentwürfen konvertieren kann. Es wird z. B. von GDAL/OGR, GRASS GIS, QGIS, MapServer, PostGIS und verwendet. Es existiert auch ein kommandozeilenbasiertes Programm (cs2cs), mit dem Koordinaten direkt konvertiert werden können. Es existieren zahlreiche in andere Sprachen, z. B. Java, JavaScript, PHP oder C#.
