Poudre Wilderness Volunteers (PWV) is a volunteer group that assists the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the US Forest Service (USFS). Poudre Wilderness Volunteers recruits and trains volunteers to serve as wilderness rangers and hosts for the purpose of educating the public and providing other support to the USFS. Poudre Wilderness Volunteers was founded in 1995 and is a 501(c) non-profit corporation. In 2009, more than 260 PWV members contributed over 22,000 hours of time. The US Forest Service valued this time at $450,000.
