prostep ivip ist ein Verein mit Sitz in Darmstadt. Er versteht sich als weltweit tätiges, unabhängiges Netzwerk aus Industrie, IT und Forschung. Der Fokus seiner Arbeit liegt auf der digitalen Transformation in Produktentstehung und Produktion. Er formuliert und bündelt dazu die Anforderungen von Herstellern und Zulieferern der Fertigungsindustrie, definiert Standards und Schnittstellen, bietet IT-Anbietern Foren für mehr Interoperabilität und führt neutrale Benchmarks durch. By designing the digital transformation in the manufacturing industry prostep ivip defines and aggregates the requirements of manufacturers and suppliers, with the goal of defining standards and interfaces primarily for the digitalization of the entire product creation process – from idea to implementation.
