Se trata de un puente corto de acero originalmente situado aguas abajo en Carbondale y más tarde trasladado a su actual ubicación. Toma su nombre actual de su diseñador y constructor . In 1985 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of two bridges in Aspen with that distinction, along with the Maroon Creek Bridge at the city's west end.
