مذكرات نكرة (بالإنجليزية: The Diary of a Nobody)‏ هي رواية إنجليزية هزلية كتبها الأخَوَان جورج وويدُن غروسميث بشروحٍ حررها الأخير. صدرت هذه الرواية كسلسلة متفرقة عن مجلة اللكمة سنة 1888م-1889م. وخرجت في شكل كتاب للمرة الأولى مع نص مُطوَّل ورُسومٍ توضيحية مُضافة في سنة 1892م. ترصد هذه المذكرات أحداث الحياة اليومية لموظف بلندن يُدعى تشارلز بوتر وزوجته كاري وابنه لوبن وشبكة من الأصدقاء والمعارف خلال 15 شهرًا. قبل أن يتعاون الأخَوَان ويعكفا على تأليف المذكرات خاض كلٌّ منهما مشوارًا فنيًا موفَّقًا على المسرح؛ حيث قدم جورج تسعةَ أدوارٍ كوميديانية في أوبرا (موسيقى) جِلْبِرْتْ وسوليفان على مدار اثنتي عشرة سنة منذ 1877م إلى 1889م. كما حظى بشهرةٍ محلية كعازف بيانو للمشاهد المسرحية القصيرة (مشهد قصير)، وكتب عددًا كبيرًا من الأغاني والأعمال الهزلية. وقبل أن يشرع جورج في حياته المسرحية كان ويدُن قد عَمِل فنانًا ورسّامًا (رسام). ثم كانت المذكرات التي هي التعاون الأنضج بين الأخَوَيْن. تكتسب الرواية في معظمها حِسًا فُكاهيًا من خلال تشارلز بوتر وحسه اللاشعوري وغير المبرر بجدوى ذاته وكذا من خلال التكرار الذي به ينقشِعُ هذا الوهم بزَلاتُ القول والفعل، ومواقفُ الضَّعَةِ الاجتماعية حتى وإن كانت معدودة. إنَّحقبة تعالت فيها التطلعات في الطبقات تحت المتوسطة سرعان ما يُدرك قراؤها المعاصِرون ذلك الروتين اليومي والطموح المتواضع المُصوَّران في المذكرات. كما أخرجت أجيالًا لاحقة بومضةٍ من الماضي إلى حدِ أصبحت عِنده مثالًا يُحْتَذى وموضة تُتبع. وعلى أنَّ المذكرات لم تلق احتفاءًا صاخبًا عند أول احتكاكٍ لها بالجمهور حدث أن اعترف النقاد بأنها تُعدُّ عملًا كلاسيكيًا فكاهيًا ولم تزل تتداولها دور الطباعة. كما أسهمت في وضع نوعٍ من الخيال الشعبي الفكاهي المبني على تطلعات الطبقة المتوسطة طبقة اجتماعية ودون المتوسطة، وكانت بدورها الشرارة الأولى التي اجترت بعدها العديد من روايات المذكرات الخيالية في نهايات القرن العشرين الميلادي. فلقد كانت المذكرات موضوعَ المسرح والأعمال المقتبسة بما في ذلك الفيلم الصامت «فيلم صامت» مداواة 1946م لكين راسل وفيلم من أربعة أجزاء من سيناريو (فن) أندرو داڤيز عام 2007م ونسخة مسرحية قوبلت بالثناء العريض في 2011م لعب فيها ثلاثة رجال كل الأدوار. Diary of a Nobody o Diario de un don nadie es una novela gráfica escrita por George Grossmith y su hermano Weedon con ilustraciones de este último; fue publicado por primera vez en "Punch" en 1888-89, y publicado en forma de libro en 1892. Es considerado una obra clásica del humor. El diario narra las andanzas de Charles Potter, un funcionario londinense de clase media-baja con llamativas aspiraciones sociales que vive en Upper Holloway. Otros personajes de esta obra son su mujer Carrie (Caroline), su hijo Lupin, sus amigos Mr. Cummings y Mr. Gowing, y la muy poco apropiada prometida de Lupin, Daisy Mutlar. Las situaciones humorísticas se originan a raíz de las constantes metidas de pata de Pooter y sus esfuerzos por aparentar, al tiempo que sufre constantes desaires de quienes considera inferiores en clase a él (por ejemplo, comerciantes). À l'origine, il est publié en feuilleton par le magazine satirique Punch en 1888-1889, et paraît en volume en 1892, avec des ajouts et des illustrations réalisées par Weedon. Censé être tenu sur une période de quinze mois par Mr Charles Pooter, commis à la Cité de Londres, le Journal rend compte de la vie quotidienne de la maisonnée, comprenant, outre le rédacteur, son épouse Carrie, leur fils Willie Lupin, leur domestique Sarah et quelques voisins et amis qui vont et viennent quasi librement. Bien que fictif, le caractère d'authenticité du document en fait une véritable métaphore des mœurs et des prétentions de la petite classe moyenne britannique confinée dans la proche banlieue nord de la capitale. C'est la première et dernière fois que les frères Grossmith collaborent à un tel projet pendant leur maturité. Avant — et après — cette expérience commune, chacun d'eux poursuit une carrière lyrique couronnée de succès. George crée à lui seul neuf des principaux rôles des opéras composés par Gilbert et Sullivan, et cela en douze années de 1877 à 1889. De plus, il acquiert une réputation nationale en tant que pianiste accompagnateur de sketches et compositeur de nombreux morceaux et chansons comiques. Weedon, quant à lui, travaille d'abord comme portraitiste, puis suit les pas de son frère sur la scène. L'humour du Journal vient essentiellement de l'importance inconsciente et injustifiée dont se prévaut Mr Charles Pooter. Sa pudeur naturelle, son désir de bien faire, son respect de la hiérarchie, son sens de la dignité, son respect sans faille des convenances se trouvent battus en brèche par l'accumulation des humiliations sociales que génèrent ses propres impairs et sa sourcilleuse susceptibilité. L'époque voit grandir les ambitions légitimes, mais alors jugées surfaites, de cette frange de la société, à la fois routinière et aspirant à la reconnaissance sociale. Le Journal capte non seulement cette ambiguïté facilement identifiée lors de sa publication, mais pour les générations ultérieures dont les mœurs ont changé, il redonne aussi à voir un passé dont le modèle de vie passe désormais pour réconfortant et douillet, et qu'elles s'empressent d'imiter. Si l'accueil du public est d'abord réservé, la critique souligne peu à peu l'originalité de l'œuvre. Constamment réédité, le Journal s'impose comme un classique du genre comique dont la veine burlesque inspire nombre de romanciers. Plusieurs adaptations lui sont consacrées, en particulier le film muet de Ken Russell réalisé en 1964, une adaptation télévisuelle en quatre parties sur un scénario de Andrew Davies sortie en 2007, enfin une adaptation scénique fort bien reçue en 2011 dont la particularité est que tous les rôles sont interprétés par seulement trois acteurs. The Diary of a Nobody is an English comic novel written by the brothers George and Weedon Grossmith, with illustrations by the latter. It originated as an intermittent serial in Punch magazine in 1888–89 and first appeared in book form, with extended text and added illustrations, in 1892. The Diary records the daily events in the lives of a London clerk, Charles Pooter, his wife Carrie, his son William Lupin, and numerous friends and acquaintances over a period of 15 months. Before their collaboration on the Diary, the brothers each pursued successful careers on the stage. George originated nine of the principal comedian roles in the Gilbert and Sullivan operas over 12 years from 1877 to 1889. He also established a national reputation as a piano sketch entertainer and wrote a large number of songs and comic pieces. Before embarking on his stage career, Weedon had worked as an artist and illustrator. The Diary was the brothers' only mature collaboration. Most of its humour derives from Charles Pooter's unconscious and unwarranted sense of his own importance, and the frequency with which this delusion is punctured by gaffes and minor social humiliations. In an era of rising expectations within the lower-middle classes, the daily routines and modest ambitions described in the Diary were instantly recognised by its contemporary readers, and provided later generations with a glimpse of the past that it became fashionable to imitate. Although its initial public reception was muted, the Diary came to be recognised by critics as a classic work of humour, and it has never been out of print. It helped to establish a genre of humorous popular fiction based on lower or lower-middle class aspirations, and was the forerunner of numerous fictitious diary novels in the later 20th century. The Diary has been the subject of several stage and screen adaptations, including Ken Russell's "silent film" treatment of 1964, a four-part TV film scripted by Andrew Davies in 2007, and a widely praised stage version in 2011, in which an all-male cast of three played all the parts. Dagboek van een onbenul (originele titel The Diary of a Nobody), is een Engelstalig humoristisch dagboek geschreven door en zijn broer met tekeningen van Weedon Grossmith, verscheen in het tijdschrift Punch in 1888-'89, en in 1892 in boekvorm. Het wordt beschouwd als een klassieker onder de humoristische romans. Het dagboek is dat van Charles Pooter, een gewone bediende in de City van Londen die graag belangrijker zou zijn dan hij in werkelijkheid is. De andere personages zijn Carrie (zijn echtgenote), zijn zoon Lupin, zijn vrienden Mr Cummings and Mr Gowing, en de ongeschikt bevonden verloofde van Lupin, Daisy Mutlar. De humor komt vooral voort uit de eigendunk van Pooter, de onbewuste stommiteiten welke hij begaat en de minachting waarmee hij behandeld wordt door mensen die hij als zijn sociale minderen ziet.
